The MCA is one of Zambia's newest tourist destinations, and is still being developed. Many comfortable guest houses can be found in nearby Mazabuka town, as there currently are currently no available accommodations within the community conservation area; however, therein lies its charm.

In its present state of unspoilt wildness and serene beauty its a magical escape from the hustle and bustle of urban life

As interest and numbers of visitors in the park increase, activities and camps will be developed, and overnights will be available in bush camps or on the houseboat.

Lechwe Plains Tented Camp in Lochinvar National Park is not far should you wish to spend the night in luxury, or alternatively there are camping areas at Lochinvar too. Lechwe Lodge just near Kafue Town is also nearby.
